IT’S ALL hands to the pump at Wrexham FC as the task of turning it into a community-based club gets under way in earnest.

Further information sheets are to be handed out at this evening’s home match against Eastbourne Borough with details of how fans can get involved.

Before kick off at Saturday’s match against Forest Green Rovers it was announced that businesswoman and hotelier Stephanie Booth had been chosen to co-ordinate the process of transferring ownership of the club to a community group.

Having had the green light for the project Mrs Booth is now pressing ahead with the huge task of turning her plans into reality.

Nigel Davies, spokesman for Mrs Booth, said: “It is a very busy time, we have got meetings lined up throughout this week and we hope to have a clearer picture of the situation by then. Everyone is working hard to get to where we need to be.”

Mr Davies stressed a crucial part of the process would be the volume of support from the public and he urged the people of Wrexham to get behind the takeover bid.
Mrs Booth has outlined her proposals in an information sheet which Mr Davies said would be made available for the crowds this evening.

“It has a range of important documents with it including application for membership, shareholding issue, sponsorship, and joining the volunteer force,” said Mr Davies.
