NORTH Wales Police have confirmed the body of a man found on the Great Orme at Llandudno is 47-year-old Andrew Parvin, who has a home in Wrexham.

He was reported missing on Monday night from his parents’ home in Deganwy. Inspector Mark Cartmell said the police helicopter found Mr Parvin’s body at the foot of the cliffs to the north side of the Great Orme on Wednesday morning.

Insp Cartmell said: "Police inquiries have confirmed the identification and the North West Wales coroner has been informed. A post mortem is due to take place later today.

"We are also appealing for information from anyone who might have been on the Great Orme on Sunday afternoon and either saw or spoke to Mr Parvin.

"He was described as being of slim build, with dark hair in his late 40s, wearing a dark coloured puffer type walking jacket, khaki trousers and grey hiking boots."
