DISTANCE is no object for staff at a popular curry house.

For the past eight years workers at Taste of India in Rhosnesni Lane, Wrexham, have been delivering to their best customers – in Conwy.

The dedicated delivery drivers regularly make the 60-mile roundtrip to deliver the tantalising cuisine to the home of curry connoisseurs Paul and Christine Blake.

Paul, 65, says there is no beating their favourite takeaway and is thrilled the restaurant is happy to make the two-hour return journey.

He said: “We used to live in Brynteg and that’s how we started being customers. I think it was my brother Peter who told me about it initially.

“Even though we moved to Llangwm about eight years ago we still like to buy curries from the Taste of India because it is so good.

“I certainly think it is the best. Brilliant fresh ingredients, expertly cooked and the customer service is second to none – you just can’t beat it.”

The couple always make sure they order enough food to keep them going.

Paul added: “My particular favourite is vindaloo and my wife likes korma. We regularly place orders for up to £70 and put a quantity away in the freezer to have as meals at a later date.

“We really enjoy eating this delicious food in such beautiful surroundings at home – this is our paradise on the edge of Snowdonia.”

Shuhinoor Miah, the managing director of Taste of India, says he is more than happy to go the extra mile – or two.

He said: “Mr Blake gives us a week in advance with his order and then we take it over to him when suitable.

“We are a family run business and put great emphasis on customer satisfaction.”
