A MAN has been charged with causing death by careless driving.

It follows the death of a motorcyclist on the A550 at Tinkersdale in Hawarden on September 26 last year.

Philip Delduca, of Bilberry Close, Penyffordd, near Mold, is charged with causing the death of Russell James Green by driving a Vauxhall Zafira without due care and attention.

Delduca, 41, elected to be tried in the crown court when he appeared at Flintshire magistrates’ court yesterday.

The case was adjourned for committal proceedings to take place.
Motorcyclist Mr Green, 45, from Neston, died as a result of the crash on September 26.

The crash involved Delduca’s car, Mr Green’s orange Triumph Triple 675cc motorcycle and another vehicle.

Mr Green suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He left wife Jane and four children – Jayne, Sophie, Charlotte and Thomas, and step-daughter Daisy, mother Joan, brother Richard and sister Christine.
