A FLINT man is on the run after he was convicted of a “nasty” assault in his absence.
Police are hunting for 40-year-old Peter James Hannah of Chester Road, Flint after he failed to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, 17 January charged with a Section 18 assault.
He was convicted of the offence, which took place in February last year, on Monday (January 24) in his absence.
Merseyside police are now appealing for information regarding the whereabouts Mr Hannah, who has family in Flint.
He also has links with Cheshire and the Wirral.
Detective Inspector Anne Rannard said: "This was a particularly nasty assault and we are actively seeking Mr Hannah. I would encourage him, or anyone who has any information about his whereabouts to come forward and contact us."
The public are advised not to approach him but contact 0151 777 2265 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with any information they may have about his whereabouts.
