A MAN was killed this morning after a car and a pedestrian collided near a busy Chester roundabout.
At just after 5.35am this morning, Friday, January 14, Cheshire Police attended a report of a serious road traffic collision on the A55 in Chester.
The collision involved a BMW car and a pedestrian and took place approximately one mile past Vicars Cross roundabout on the A55 North Wales bound carriageway.
The male pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Formal identification has not yet taken place.
The driver of the car, a 45 year old man from Chester, was uninjured.
Police and emergency services remain at the scene.
Motorists have been advised to seek alternative routes as there are road closures in place on the North Wales bound carriageway at Vicars Cross.
