WOMAN driver has died in a road crash near Chirk this morning.
The emergency services were called to the scene of the tragedy at around 7.40am on the B4500 at Pontfadog. The collision involved a Citroen Saxo and a single decker bus.
Police, fire and the ambulance service attended and the driver of the Citroen was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the bus is not believed to have sustained injury and there were no passengers on board.
North Wales Police say the B4500 between Chirk and Pontfadog is currently closed.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact PC 450 Aled Jackson by telephoning 101.
