THE former owner of a Llay takeaway linked with an E.coli outbreak appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court yesterday.
Ramazan Aslan, of Victoria Road in Ellesmere Port, faces nine charges under Food Hygiene Regulations 2006.
Magistrates committed the case to Mold Crown Court on January 7.
Aslan, 35, was granted unconditional bail.
The E.coli outbreak occurred in August 2009. Four people became seriously ill after contracting the bug including Wrexham librarian Karen Morrisroe.
Wrexham Council officials closed the takeaway following the concerns.
The takeaway is now under new management not linked to the previous Llay Fish Bar management.
