TWO people were injured - one seriously - when two fires within an hour broke out in the Caia Park area of Wrexham on Tuesday evening.
In the first incident, at 6.30pm, three fire crews tackled a blaze at a house in Cunningham Avenue.
Firefighters rescued a man who was taken by ambulance to Wrexham Maelor Hospital for treatment to serious burns.
At 7.30pm firefighters were called to a house in Trevanna Way.
There a man was treated at the scene for the affects of smoke inhalation.
Police and fire service are investigating the cause of both incidents.
