AN INVESTIGATION into the death of a seven-year-old girl at a North Wales caravan park is continuing.
Police and Flintshire Council launched the investigation after Seojin Kim, of Harborne, Birmingham, drowned in the swimming pool at Talacre Beach Caravan Park during a family holiday on October 2.
Neighbours of the family have expressed their shock at the tragedy.
It is believed Seojin, who would have been eight next month, was playing in the caravan park’s pool with other children with her parents nearby when she got into difficulties in the water.
A spokesman for Flintshire Council said: “There is nothing further to report other than that the investigation is continuing.
“While we recognise this sad case has generated significant public interest, we must let the investigation run its course.”
An inquest has been opened and adjourned by North East Wales coroner’s office with drowning given as the cause of death.
