IS THIS the best view in the whole of Wrexham?

The new John Neal Block accommodation centre at Glyndwr University certainly offers rooms with a view for its delighted residents.

Students can enjoy pleasing elevated panoramas across the town and soak up the lush green landscape surrounding it.

And what looks good in the day gets even better at night as students gaze out on Wrexham and surrounding communities lit up in all their splendour.

It is such a popular activity they even regularly switch off the lounge lights to enhance the breathtaking visual effect.

The residents have settled in quickly to their surroundings and made it a real home from home.

Among the facilities at their disposal are fridges, freezers, cookers and microwaves, with tastefully furnished lounges to chill out in with friends after a hard day studying.

And there is an additional plus to savour for anyone who appreciates the atmosphere of big sporting occasions.

They will be glad to see The Racecourse ground, home to Wrexham FC and Crusaders rugby league club, is just across the way.

The position of the stands means they are not able to follow play on the pitch from their rooms but they can catch a glimpse of the touchline at the ground’s kop end.

Among the residents enjoying the John Neal Block is Elisabeth Wood, a business management student from Staffordshire.

She said: “I wasn’t expecting anything like this, it is very nice.

“I have looked at other places and there was nothing of this high quality. The facilities are really good.

“Everyone is so friendly and there is a great atmosphere.”

Office administrator Julie Greene said: “As soon as the students arrived they settled in here quickly. We have had very positive feedback about the standards.
There are just over 150 students in the John Neal Block. This is the first stage of the development, with further accommodation to be built.”
