A FATHER has spoken of his disgust after his children’s tricycle was allegedly stolen from outside his home.

The Smart Trike vehicle was discovered missing from Dylan Jackson’s front garden on Nant Garmon, Mold, early on Friday morning. The tricycle was used by his two-year-old twin sons Aiden and Keidis.

Along with an identical tricycle, the vehicle enabled the twins to enjoy basic cycling when out walking with Mr Jackson and their mother, Karen Robertson, in areas such as Loggerheads Country Park.

Mr Jackson, 31, said: “It is very hurtful that anybody would want to steal from a two-year-old child. I’m absolutely disgusted by what has happened.

“The twins don’t really understand what has happened but they are wondering why we aren’t able to go out at the moment. We need both tricycles to be able to do things together.

“As things stand it’s going to be a few weeks before we can afford something similar. We saved up for them when we bought them. I hope somebody has seen it around Mold and can help us.”

Valued at about £50 each, the tricycles are designed to cater for different stages of a young child’s development as their independence grows.

Along with the tricycle, a barbecue was also reported missing following the alleged theft but Mr Jackson is particularly concerned about the tricycle.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “We were called at 10.15am on Friday, October 1, regarding the reported theft of a barbecue set and a children’s tricycle.
This has a red seat with a blue frame with a yellow plastic trim. There is a green mudguard and basket and a blue handle for the parent’s use.

“The theft is believed to have taken place at some point overnight.
