AN EIGHT-year-old girl has drowned at a Flintshire caravan park while on holiday with her family.
North Wales Police confirmed on Saturday that a young girl from the West Midlands died at the swimming pool at Talacre Beach Caravan Park.
A rapid response vehicle and emergency ambulance were called to the swimming pool at 3.40pm and arrived within eight minutes.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “An eight-year-old girl was found at the bottom of the swimming pool.
“She had been taken out when paramedics arrived and emergency ambulance crew performed CPR on the scene and on route to Glan Clwyd Hospital.”
The girl was pronounced dead at the hospital in Bodelwyddan just before 5pm on Saturday.
Police said they were continuing their enquiries into the death but were not treating it as suspicious.
