Danny Henley got Holywell’s first goal on the hour mark with a header and 10 mins later, Josh Ruane doubled the lead after he was put through by Paul Williams, chipping the advancing goalkeeper.

Overton looked as if they had their place in the next round sorted out when an Alan Huxley goal separated them from Llanfairpwll with 88 minutes gone.

But a last gasp equaliser gave the visitors a lifeline and they fired three extra time goals to seal a place in the next round.

After an inspiring first month of the season, Saltney found themselves brought right back down to earth with a pretty hefty bump as Borras Park Albion defeated the Town 3-2 at Dean Road.

Albion took an early lead through Stuart Williams and things went from bad to worse when Mark Roberts increased the lead on 16 minutes and looked to have Saltney out for the count when he added a third early in the second half.

In a late fight-back Phil Whiitaker reduced the arrears and it was game on when Andy Johnson did manage to grab a late second but it was too little too late.

Glynceiriog failed to contain Castell Alun who broke their duck to win 3-1 with efforts from Graham Dessington (2) and James Francis. Responding was Danny Jones.

Due to an acute shortage of match officials, three games in the The Reserves Division had to be called off and these involved clashes between Rhos Aelwyd Reserves and Borras Park Albion, Llay at home to Penycae and Ruthin Town versus Cefn Druids.

Castell Alun did play but were were overpowered 8-0 by Bala Town.
Chirk AAA were beaten 3-2 by LEX X1 but hitting back were Graham Yewdall and Sean Morris.

Corwen made easy progress against Gresford Athletic Reserves and they notched second half goals through Will Jones, Tomos Hughes and Ifan Roberts.

Llangollen were beaten 3-1 at Hawarden Rangers whose marksmen were Glyn Jelly, Nick Jones and Tegid Lloyd.

Heading up the Reserves and Colts Division are Airbus UK and they have opened up a five point lead following their 4-2 romp at New Brighton. Among the goals were Asa Hamilton, Paul Simmons, Ben Donovan and Andy Thomas.

In the local derby at Acrefair Youth and Rhos Aelwyd, Rhos came through with flying colours to win 4-1. On target were Adam Peters, Stef Williams, Dafydd Robertson and Ryan Jenkins. Replying for the hosts was Matt Bride.

Brymbo were held to a 2-2 draw by Penley and their marksmen were Damian Jones and Stewart Parry.

Ruthin Town took a tumble and were beaten 2-1 by Venture Reseves who had Darren Gallop leveling the match an 17 year old Ben White snatching a last gasp winner.

Saltney Town chalked up a 2-1 victory over Brickfield Rangers with strikes from Efan Wright and an own goal.

Simon Mackie and Richard Mark Jones fired two goals each as Caerwys pulled of a 5-1 CLWYD LEAGUE Premier Division win at struggling Shotton Steel.

Wayne Shill wrapped up Caerwys's nap hand but Shotton had the last word with Danny Edwards's reply on 80 minutes.

Tim Hughes was the toast of Sychdyn after his two book-end goals earned his side a surprise point in a 2-2 draw at unbeaten Abergele Rovers. Hughes put Sychdyn in front on 15 minutes but left his second to the last minute to deny Rovers their expected win.

Mostyn Dragons produced six different goalscorers in their 6-2 win over Abergele Dragons, Lawton Renshaw, Keiron Roberts, Sam Newman, Keiron Griffiths, David McCully and Paul Smith sharing them out while Point of Ayr settled for a 5-2 verdict over Bro Cernyw, Darren Hughes bagging three to add to singles from Mike Jones and Brett Johns.

An own goal by Ed Rooney couldn't avert a 4-1 defeat for Shotton Steel at Abergele Dragons in the Reserve Division but Aston Park Rangers were celebrating a 4-2 win over Llanrwst United, courtesy of a James Butler hat-trick plus one from Gareth Pooley.

Callum Pierce cracked four as unbeaten leaders Holywell Town overcame second-placed Flint Town United Youth 9-1. Alan Roberts (3), Scott Reid and Ben Lewis completed the bagful, Tom Washington narrowing the gap in Flint's first loss.

Flint Mountain scored four at Prestatyn Town but remain without a point after leaking a dozen goals themselves. Tom Smith and Dean Tolleys each netted twice for Flint but they weren't the heaviest losers of the day.

That doubtful honour went to Halkyn United who were blitzed 15-0 at home by rampant Rhyl in the Reserve Premier League.

Ritchie Hughes  and Ritchie Walker secured Flint Town United a 2-1 comeback win at Llandyrnog United after Danny McDonald's 10th minute opener.
