THE funeral of a popular teenager who fell to her death will be held tomorrow.

The community of Rhos was left deeply shocked after Amy Louise Wright was found dead at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

Mourners will pay their respects to Amy, who was the twin of Carys, at a service and committal at Pentrebychan Crematorium tomorrow at 2.30pm.

There will be family flowers only at the funeral and donations if desired can be made to either the Welsh Warriers Fund, Macmillan Nurses or Nightingale House Hospice.

Dozens of heartfelt tributes have been paid to the 19-year-old who died on Friday, September 3.

Amy had worked at Liquid nightclub in Wrexham and everyone at the club was devastated to learn of her death.

Amy had been a pupil at Ysgol y Grango and a student at Yale College and tributes have been made by both establishments.

A statement from Ysgol y Grango said: “She was a cheerful and outgoing student, popular with both peers and staff alike.”

On the Leader website tributes included one from ‘Tomwxm’ who wrote: “Amy was such a lovely girl, always funny and happy.

“Me and her friends are deeply shocked and upset about what has happened and will be there for her family when they need us.

“I remember her always being bubbly and friendly in school, always happy and with a smile.”

A North Wales Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

North East Wales coroner John Hughes has opened an inquest and adjourned the hearing to a later date.
