TRIBUTES have been paid to a “beautiful” young woman who was found dead in a garden.

Beverley Kelly, 31, of Mechanics Lane, Pentre, was discovered hanging at a property on Chemistry Lane, Pentre.

An inquest into Miss Kelly’s death has been opened and adjourned by the North East Wales coroner.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “One ambulance attended the scene shortly after 11pm on Thursday. A female was declared dead at the scene.”

Miss Kelly, a carer at Phoenix House Residential Home in Sandycroft and a former pupil of Hawarden High School and was engaged to be married.

A spokesman for the home said: “Bev had worked with us for three years and was loved by residents, families and staff alike.

“She was a valued member of staff and we will miss her bubbly and infectious personality.

“Everybody has been devastated. Phoenix House would like offer their deepest condolences.”

Donations in her memory are being made to sponsor a child in a third world country.

Collection buckets are at Da Vinci’s restaurant in Queensferry and at the Mechanics Arms pub in Pentre.

Pat McClean, landlady of McCleans pub on Chemistry Lane, Pentre, paid tribute to Miss Kelly.

“She was a beautiful young girl with her whole life ahead of her,” she said.

“She would often come in the pub and would say hello. It’s a real shame.”

Family friend Sandra Hopley said she had known Miss Kelly since she started school and described her as a “little angel”.

She said: “It is such a shock. She was such a beautiful girl, really pretty and really well-liked.”

Paul Robertson, landlord of the Mechanics Arms, said Beverley was a popular member of staff during her two years as a barmaid at the pub. He said: “She was a nice, bubbly and vibrant young person and very popular.

“Everybody is devastated and gutted. All the customers can't believe it.”

Tributes have also been paid on the social networking site Facebook.

One friend said: “Seen a massive beautiful rainbow when I left the house this morning and knew that it was her old mate Beverley Kelly letting everyone know she at peace.”

Another wrote: “Good night, God bless. You will truly be missed, never forgotton, you were so beautiful. RIP.”
