SUCCESS in their GCSEs has meant a record number of school leavers have been able to confirm their place on a course at Yale College.

And they are set to start the next phase of their education next month.

Over two days more than 800 students came to take up their places after successfully achieving the grades they needed for entry and more are set to come next week for the college’s enrolment days.

Though some full-time courses are now full, there is still an opportunity to enrol on a range of programmes and anyone wishing to apply can go along on the enrolment days to get advice and guidance.

Enrolment days are being held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 7.30pm when course tutors, careers and college support team advisors will be on hand to help students find out what is available.

Adults of all ages will also be starting at college on a part-time basis to achieve their goals of either furthering their careers with a professional development course or taking up a new challenge with a course at their local school.

There is a wide variety of courses available and people are encouraged to enrol online, by phone or in person before classes start on the September 13.
