FLINT High School has spoken of its pride at this year’s A-level results.
The school enjoyed a noticeable improvement on its results from last year, with an increase in the number of students who will be enjoying university education next year.
Pamela McClean, headteacher, said: “We are delighted with our students’ achievements and congratulate them and the staff from our partner schools for their hard work.
“Our results have improved significantly from last year with outstanding success in Mathematics and Physical Education and more of our students progressing to university.”
The school’s top performer this year was Rachel Hammond, who will study French at Manchester University.
Another success is Bethan Conway, who won the Flintshire Young Sports Volunteer of the Year Award for her netball coaching at school. She gained a distinction in PE and will now head to Cardiff to study Sport.
