SIXTH formers at Holywell High School are celebrating today after receiving their A-level results.

The students’ wider average points score was the highest ever recorded at Holywell, with overall pass rates also at very high levels.

This year’s results included some notable performances by individual students.

Seren Sandham-Davies achieved A grades in English Literature, French and History and a B in Music.

Another star performer was Sarah Fishwick, who did outstandingly well to obtain an A* in her Biology A level, and A grades in Chemistry and Mathematics.

Luke Pilkington-Jones achieved an A in Mathematics and Bs in Biology and Chemistry, while Matthew Jones scored an A in Business, Bs in History and Politics and a B in AS English Literature.

Michael Price’s results were an A in Mathematics and Bs in Music and German, with Katie Eyton achieving a double distinction in BTEC Manufacturing Engineering and a C in Design Technology.

Siobhan Henry, head of sixth form, said: “I am very proud of all of our students’ achievements. They have worked very hard during their time at Holywell.

“It has been another successful year and I am very appreciative of the efforts of staff and parents who have supported the students with their studies. I would like to wish all our students the very best for the future.”
