MARC WILLIAMS has joined Kidderminster Harriers on a three-month loan deal.

Wrexham will have the opportunity to recall striker Williams at 24 hours notice after the first month, and the 22-year-old will not be allowed to face the Reds when KIdderminster Harriers visit The Racecourse next Tuesday.

Wales under 21 international Williams, who scored 17 goals in all competitions during the 2008-09 campaign, broke the same metatarsal twice within the space of a year and manager Dean Saunders believes it is in his interests to go out on loan for first-team football.

“I don’t want Marc to leave but he needs to be playing football,” said Saunders.

“He has been out for nearly 12 months and I don’t want him waiting and waiting.

“I can always call him back, and I have to balance the books wages wise.

“But I think it will do him good because he has missed a lot of football and he is behind a couple who have got the shirt at the moment.

“Hopefully he will come back from there 100 per cent firing. I am not looking to offload him and know what he is capable of when he is right.

“I had to sign the people I did because of our lack of goals last season, and Marc hurt his foot. It looks as if it has healed and Marc is chomping at the bit, but he will have to wait for his chance.”

Williams is in line for his debut when Kidderminster entertain Southport tonight.
