WREXHAM’s Racecourse ground will be hosting an open fun day  for all the family.

Stars from both Wrexham FC and Crusaders will be at the ground on Sunday for a day of activities.

The event kicks off at 11.30am and will provide fans with the opportunity to meet their favourite sporting superstars.

Dean Saunders and Wrexham FC will be hosting a open-training session, and there will also be a penalty shootout between Saunders’ men and the Crusaders.

Players from Wrexham FC will be aiming to beat their rugby-playing counterparts at their own game as they try to slot conversions over the rugby posts.

Anyone who attends will also be able to have a guided a tour of the ground, getting the chance to see where the players change and eat as well as getting a taste of behind-the-scenes work at the stadium.

During the day there will be an opportunity to get photos and autographs with football and rugby stars.

Mike Turner, commercial director at the Racecourse, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to give something back to the supporters and wider community.

“The open day will have something for all the family and give fans a insight to what goes on at the ground. “
