FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a blaze at the Kronospan chipboard factory in Chirk this morning.
Crews from the Chirk, Llangollen and Wrexham stations were called to the site just before 11am.
A spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the fire affected an air filter for one of the turbines on site.
Crews using used breathing apparatus sets and two hosereel jets to deal with the outbreak.
The blaze was brought under control by 12.30pm and firefighters stayed at the site to investigate the cause.
The spokeswoman added: "It is not believed there were any casualties and it is not known whether company staff had to be evacuated.."
No-one at the company was available for comment.
