THERE promises to be plenty of fun for all the family at Glyndwr University’s Scientriffic event this Saturday.

This year’s event has four main themes – bright sparks, animal world, Earth and The Universe and human body and mind. Entrance to Techniquest Glyndwr is also included in the admission price.

Highlights this year include a chance to meet weird and wonderful creatures at the mini beast zoo, find out why bubbles stick to each other, and see how solar energy works.

In addition to more than 40 interactive exhibits, there will be plenty of fascinating shows, including Science Junkies, a live extreme sports science display.

Katie Dutton, the event’s co-ordinator, said: “This year’s Scientriffic is going to be bigger and better than ever.

“There really is something for everyone to enjoy. It’s going to be one of the best days out this summer.”

Tickets for Scientriffic are at the reduced rate of £6 for adults, £4 for children, £15 for a family and £3 each for groups of more than 10 if bought in advance.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.wrexhamsf.com or alternatively from Techniquest Glyndwr on 01978 293400.

They are also available at Wrexham tourist information centre on 01978 292015 or by visiting Glyndwr University sports centre.

Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event.
