Centuries were the order of the day throughout the North Wales elite, although not all ended up as winning contributions.

Two of the three local hundreds came at Chirk as Brymbo recorded what could prove to be a crucial losing draw.

Stevie Kelshaw helped Chirk post a mammoth 340-6 inside 50 overs as he fired 21 fours and four sixes in an innings of 157.

Kelshaw was ably supported by skipper Nick Flack, who missed out on his own three figure score by four runs, and Jonathan Phillips (51).

Brymbo's Rob Ranson was the only bowler with something to smile about as he claimed 5-66.

In reply, the away side had Joss Roberts to thanks as he scored 109 at the top of the order, while Stewart Williams (32) and captain Jamie Griffiths (17 not out) helped keep Chirk at bay.

Mold suffered their second successive defeat as Pontblyddyn opener Phil Davies struck an unbeaten 143.

Davies had support from Mark Neath, who added 75, but it was the opener who took the limelight with 15 fours and four sixes in Pont's 272-5 declared.

It was going to need a similarly important innings from a Mold batsmen if the hosts were going to win, but only captain David Soothill (50) and Jonathan Bedbrook (36) were able to trouble the Pont bowlers for long enough.

Rhys Jones, Glenn Chambers, Ben Mason, Angus Reckord, and Kevin Owen all took two wickets as Mold were bowled out for 136.

Hawarden Park skipper Jamie Ducker had called for his side to click into place and they certainly did that, beating Connah's Quay by 123 runs.

Ian Martin was the stand-out batsman for Park as they won the toss and elected to post a total, the right hander hitting 60, while Michael Henderson added a useful 32 as the hosts scored 224-9, Quay's Mitch van Wyk taking 4-54.

Park were also in superb form with the ball after the turnaround as Campbell Marr and Jamie Ducker removed Quay's top order.

It was then left to James Hurlin (3-19) and Craig Wilson (3-4) to spin Park to victory, the duo mopping up the Quay tail as the away side fell to 101 all out.

Elsewhere, Trevor Bauer hit 85 not out and David North claimed 5-42 as St Asaph beat Mochdre, Luke Jones (95) and Robbie Jones (89) helped Menai Bridge beat Bangor, and Gordon Kerr (93) and Jack Rimmington (6-35) enabled Llandudno to overcome Llanrwst.
