CONCERT organisers are issuing personal apologies to music fans after a soul star’s show near Wrexham lasted for just four songs.

Representatives of singer Mica Paris and organisers of the Rhos Summer Sounds Music Festival have clashed following the singer’s appearance at the Stiwt theatre on Saturday.

Paris was there to top the bill at the launch of the festival but many gig-goers, who had paid up to £18 a ticket, were left disappointed.

Gavin Sharpe, programming manager for the festival, said he would be calling ticket-holders to apologise.

He said: “We as a festival can only apologise for any disappointment, which I can assure you we share with our customers.

“Over the next few days all customers who attended the event will receive a personal phone call from myself and my colleague Kerry Woolnough to explain the situation.”

When contacted by the Leader, Mica Paris’s representatives said they were seeking to resolve a number of issues with festival organisers.

They disputed claims the organisers had made over the number of songs that Paris would sing on the night.

Tickets for the evening were being sold for £16 and £18.

The Rhos Summer Sounds Festival is in its first year and is set to run until late August.
