A 15-YEAR-OLD boy from Deeside accused of rape will have his case heard at the crown court.

The teenager is charged with raping a female aged over 16 and a separate offence of sexual touching in Mancot in January.

District Judge Andrew Shaw declined jurisdiction of the case at a hearing at Wrexham Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The boy is due to appear at Flintshire Magistrates' Court at Mold on July 1 to be committed to the crown court but the case could be transferred automatically to the crown court before then.

The boy was granted conditional bail and warned not to contact the alleged victim before the case comes to trial.
