RESIDENTS can have their say on Wrexham’s planning blueprint for the next 11 years.

The county borough’s new Local Development Plan (LDP) will go out to full public consultation over six weeks from this Friday, June 4 to Friday July 16.

The plan sets out proposals for the use and development of land in the county borough up to 2021, including sites for new housing and affordable homes, employment, retail development and the proposed traveller site in Ruthin Road.

Exhibitions will be held in locations across the county and the plan will also be available to view on the council’s website, at local libraries and in the planning department at Lambpit Street.

Feedback can be given online or on the standard form which can be downloaded from www.wrexham.gov.uk/planning or from The Planning Department, Lambpit Street, Wrexham.

All representations will be forwarded by the planning department to the planning inspectorate who will make the final decision on the plan.

Lead member for housing and planning, Cllr Mark Pritchard, said: “I would like to thank all the officers and members of the planning policy group and chair of the planning committee, Cllr Mike Morris, whose hard work and commitment has brought this plan to the consultation stage.

“I would urge residents to look at the plan and make any observations or objections they may have to the allocation of particular pieces of land before the end of the consultation period.”
