A CHARITY walk is to be held in memory of a tragic youngster.

Borras Park Infants pupil Harry Jones died suddenly at the age of four in 2005, and will be remembered at Harry’s Teddy Bear Walk, taking place around Nant Mill Country Park on Sunday, June 6.

The walk is free for adults and children but each teddy must 'pay' £1 to enter.

On the day there will also be a duck race on the river costing £1 per duck – with prizes on offer.

Since his death Harry’s parents Julia and Jeff and their friends and family have been fundraising to raise funds for Hope House hospice through a special fund set up in Harry's name.

Rachel Jones, fundraiser for Hope House, said: “We are very grateful to Julia and Jeff and Harry’s helpers for their continued support.

“They have raised thousands for us since they started and it is wonderful that the memory of Harry lives on through the efforts of his family and friends.

"This event is lovely for families as a day out and last year there was a fantastic atmosphere with everyone relaxing and enjoying the event. We are very much looking forward to it again this time.”
