YSCEIFIOG 5
RHEWL 0
THE magnificent home form continued for Ysceifiog on Monday as they enjoyed a nap versus Rhewl.
Danny Jones’ charges romped to their biggest home win of the season with this five-goal showing, although Pete Lloyd’s Rhewl will definitely feel disappointed that they didn’t get closer to their hosts.
Top scorer Tom Carney took his tally for the season up to half-a-dozen goals after bagging one of Ysceifiog’s efforts.
However, he was eclipsed by the hauls of Tom Jones and Marcus Penrhyn-Jones, who slotted in a brace of goals apiece.
It was by no means all one-way traffic as Rhewl had more than one sight of goal.
Top scorer Ian Williams failed to add to his five-goal tally for the season as he missed a penalty, while the experienced Mark Roberts had three good opportunities to hit the target.
For the visitors youngster Elis Owen did well at the back, while Stephen Willsdon and Chris Shone also stood out.
