A FLINTSHIRE man has been remanded in custody on serious charges including kidnap and rape.
John Bevan (pictured), 45, of West View in Mold, faces five charges following an incident in the town on May 13.
Judge Philip Richards, sitting at Mold Crown Court, was told that Bevan had been charged with unlawful imprisonment, attempted grievous bodily harm, kidnapping, rape and robbery.
Prosecution barrister John Philpotts said that the prosecution papers would be served within a month and the case was listed for a plea and case management hearing on July 2, when Bevan will be asked to enter pleas to the charges.
Defending barrister Simon Mills did not apply for bail.
