MEET Melanie Williams, dubbed the worst dressed person in Wrexham by TV fashion guru Gok Wan.

Gok may have been scathing in his criticism of Melanie’s fashion sense on his visit to the town, but the good news is he’s going to do something about it.

The infant school teacher is to get a lifechanging makeover from the man himself.

She will now star in an episode of Channel 4 show Gok’s Fashion Fix, due to be aired on June 8.

The show sees Gok, a fashion consultant, giving one lucky woman a complete makeover including a new wardrobe, hair style and make-up tips.

Katie Nicholls, head of programme publicity for Endemol UK which makes the show, said: “Melanie was plucked from the crowd for having the ‘worst wardrobe in Wrexham’.

“In her younger years, her wardrobe was awash with colour but now it consists of green, green and more green.

“Melanie has so many green clothes she could set up her own Dulux line of paint!

“It’s time for Melanie to get out of the country clobber and unleash her foxy feminine figure.”

Katie added: “Her dramatic transformation from outdoors adventurer to style queen involves a challenge to dress dangerously, replacing her fleeces for flirty dresses and heels that leave her family and friends completely dumbstruck.

“Gok will show Melanie how to dress for work, rest and play by choosing just 24 key pieces in her new capsule wardrobe.

“Looking fresh and fabulous in her most killer outfit, its time for Melanie to reveal her stunning new look to the entire town.”

Look out for an interview with Melanie and pictures of her transformation in the Leader later this month.
