Mold made it back-to-back Premier Division victories with a resounding six wicket success over visiting Chirk.

A superb all-round bowling performance saw Mold roll out Chirk, who were missing Shaun Walkers, for just 106.

James Griffiths followed up last week’s excellent bowling display to add another two wickets to his season’s tally, while Usman Butt (2-13), Richard Crane (2-16), Russ Wiseman (1-9), Danny Drew (1-11), and Jonathan Bedbrook (1-18) also claimed victims.

In reply, Russ Wiseman failed to produce the kind of display that defeated Menai Bridge, but Butt (29), Griffiths (20) and Cliff Wiseman (21 not out) ensured the home side reach the total.

Pontblyddyn were denied their first win of the season as Bangor snatched a last ball win to record a four wicket triumph.

The men from Alder Meadow won the toss and elected to bat, a decision that was vindicated as Phil Davies struck 84 at the top of the order.

Davies was ably supported by middle order trio Angus Reckord (38), Mark Neath (46), and Chris Moss (43) as Pont totalled 229-6 declared.

After the interval the home side were boosted as Rhys Jones dismissed Bangor opener Richard Parry for a duck, but Andrew Savage added 97 to hand the advantage back to the visitors.

Savage and Robert Marshall, who also hit a neat half-century, led Bangor towards victory, although once they had been removed Pont looked to turn the screw.

However, needing two runs off the final ball of the innings, Bangor's Nick Roberts found the boundary to secure the success.

Connah's Quay slumped to their first defeat of the campaign as champions Llandudno left Central Park with a 10 wicket triumph.

Lower order knocks of 28 from skipper Sean Stenyberg-Wright and 33 by Darren Leach helped Quay post a less than daunting 149 all out from just 35 overs, Jack Rimmington the pick of the Llandudno attack with 4-12.

And the total proved well short of challenging Llandudno as opening duo Duncan Midgley (80 not out) and Steve Smith (62 not out) led the away side to victory after just 31 overs.

St Asaph are underway in the Premier Division, claiming a 73 run triumph over Hawarden Park.

The home side were able to post 208 despite an excellent six wicket haul from Park's Ian Martin, with some powerful hitting from Dave North at the end of the innings.

Park looked comfortable at 80-1, but St Asaph showed their prowess in the field with three superb catches to remove key men Tom Ducker, Mike Parton, and Campebell Marr, and once they had gone the away side fell to 137 all out.

A knock of 112 from Mochdre's Will Evans proved in vain as their match at Brymbo was abandoned, while Llarwst and Menai Bridge failed to get a result as the rain came down.
