The FAMILY of a  schoolboy killed in a road accident have been paying a loving tribute.

His toddler sister who was involved in the crash which killed her 11-year-old brother is now breathing by herself.

Three-year-old Lily May Evans was left fighting for her life at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital after the single-car smash on the A55 which killed her brother Jordan.

Tributes have been pouring in for Jordan who was a pupil at Flint’s St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School and a keen boxer.

Following the crash near Northop, Jordan’s mum Karen, 36, remains in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and sister Levi, 18, has been released.

Lily’s uncle told the Leader that his niece was now off the ventilator and breathing for herself.

Mark Field, Head Coach of Buckley Boxing Club where Jordan was a member, said that the youngster’s death had “devastated” everybody.

“He was a very bubbly little lad and was very likeable,” said Mr Field.

“Everyone is so shocked.

“All the kids loved him in the gym. He had just reached his standard where he could have his first fight.”

Mr Field added that he club were raising money to have a memorial boxing glove at the club for Jordan.

County councillor Glenys Diskin runs Mancot’s post office, she said: “Karen is a very caring mother, they are a lovely family.

“It is such a shock, I cannot believe it.

“I knew Jordan all his life, Karen must be totally devastated. Karen is part of us. It is a tragedy, she has a lot of friends in the community.”

A special mass was held for Jordan at his school on Friday.

Headteacher at St Richard Gwyn High School, Derek Doran said: “He was a very caring and supportive member of his class. His bubbly personality and cheeky smile made the room light up.

“He was a pleasure to teach and a great ambassador for his form, helping with assemblies and liturgy readings.”

Three tribute groups on Facebook have been set up in memory of the youngster.
Ceri Amos paid tribute to “a lovely, cheeky little chappy.

“Sleep tight mate, never forget that cheeky smile of yours!!xxxx”

Emily Rose Curtis wrote: “we will never forget you! we will miss you so very much no-one will ever forget you!xxxxxx”

The crash happened when the red Vauxhall Corsa crashed on the slip road onto the McDonald's and Holiday Inn services on the westbound carriageway between junctions 33 and 34 just after 9.30am.

Lily May is a nursery pupil at Sandycroft Primary School, where Jordan had been a student before starting St Richard Gwyn in September.

In a statement his family said: “Jordan, you will always be remembered as a truly wonderful caring and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin by all of your family.

“Your tragic and sudden departure has left a huge space in our lives, that can now only be filled by your unique smile, and our fondest memories of the times we spent together.

“Dearest Jordan you will never be forgotten, and we are sure you will never walk alone, as our prayers and love will always be with you.

Sleep well Jordan, we will all love and miss you from this day forward."
