A 14-YEAR-OLD racing driver’s debut season in the tough world of touring cars is going from strength to strength.

Seb Morris, from Marford, is the youngest driver on the entire Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship support package, and helped lift his team up to third place overall in the Ginetta Junior Championship at Rockingham over the weekend.

Earlier this year the youngster was confirmed as a driver for Derbyshire-based Hillspeed which is taking part in the championship for the first time.

Each race takes place before the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, which means Seb will get the chance to make a big impression in front of the ITV cameras and live crowds of up to 35,000.

After recording a career-best 11th place finish on Saturday during round three, the Marford teen was an impressive eighth in round four.

Hillspeed team principal Richard Ollerenshaw said: “What can you say about Seb?
He’s doing an unbelievable job in a very tough championship and to beat the likes of David Moore and Sarah Moore (the reigning Ginetta Junior Champion) in race two, and to hold off an experienced driver like Chris Swanwick right to the last lap, was incredible. He’s showing excellent promise and we’ll hopefully keep building on that this season.”
