A MOTHER has told how she and her three children fled to safety after arsonists struck outside their home.

Carol Adamson, of Tan Y Coed in Wrexham, spoke of the fear she felt as she struggled to save her family after spotting the blaze.

An old sofa outside the property was set alight causing extensive damage to the rear of the building.
Miss Adamson carried daughters Chloe, two, Shannon, one, and five-month-old son TJ to safety after spotting the blaze at about 11.35pm on Thursday.

She said: “I was in bed and then got up to make a bottle for Shannon. That was when I noticed some kind of fire outside.

“When I took a closer look I realised what was happening and was horrified.”
Miss Adamson managed to get Chloe outside before going back in for TJ and Shannon.

She said: “I just can’t believe anyone would do something like this. I don’t know who is responsible for it.

“This has just left me speechless. I was shaking at the time.”

Miss Adamson said TJ had only recently come home after spending a month in hospital because he had been suffering from bronchitis.

She thanked family and friends who have helped her as she tries to sort out the damage caused by the fire.

A spokesman for North Wales Fire Service confirmed the fire was started deliberately and said officers are investigating.
