ANIMAL welfare officers are appealing for information after a pony was dumped in a lane.
The dapple grey mare was found in Babell, near Holywell, on March 17.
She had a fractured jaw and needed veterinary treatment for an abscess, but is now in RSPCA care.
RSPCA inspector Chris Dunbar said: “This poor creature was dumped in the most abject of circumstances and was in considerable discomfort.
“If someone knows anything about this incident I’d encourage them to come forward and help us.”
Anyone with information should call the RSPCA in confidence on 03001234999.
