POLICE are urging people to be on their guard after a spate of burglaries.
Officers in South Flintshire say there has been an increase in the number of thefts from sheds and garages in recent weeks.
District inspector Martin Best said: “Most of the crimes that have taken place have been due to occupiers leaving doors and windows unlocked throughout the day and night and leaving keys in windows and doors.
“Most crime is committed by opportunists and leaving your premises insecure is assisting these types of criminals.”
