A SPATE of thefts has led to Flintshire householders being urged to invest in a lock and alarm to secure their homes.
Neighbourhood Watch has issued the advice in the wake of a number of burglaries in the county.
They advise fitting good quality deadlocks certified to BS 3621 to all exterior doors and a burglar alarm certified to BS EN 50131.
Security lighting should also be installed at vulnerable homes, they say.
Spokesman Jackie Lee said: “Sheds and garages should always be kept locked and secure.”
She added: “Never leave valuable equipment in outside buildings that have no or little security.”
