WREXHAM man David Morton Thomas remains in a critical condition in the Specialist Head Injuries Unit at Walton Hospital, Liverpool.
Mr Thomas, 38, suffered a serious head injury following an incident at the Temple Bar in Frodsham Street, Chester, shortly before 11.30pm on Friday.
On Monday Alan Junior Gilmartin, 30, of Sycamore Drive, Lache, Chester, appeared at Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston Magistrates Court charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Mr Thomas.
The case has been transferred to Chester Crown Court. A preliminary hearing will take place on April 26 and Gilmartin has been remanded in custody.
