A WREXHAM couple will have a full house after welcoming triplets in to the family - bringing their total number of children to nine.

Lorraine Roberts, 39 and Paul McNee, 53, have their work cut out for them after three girls came into their lives on Tuesday afternoon.

Ruby came first weighing 4lb 10 and a half oz, then came Grace at 4lb 7oz and last but not least was Eva at 4lb 10oz.

The trio were born by caesarean section at 34 weeks and are healthy but at the moment need to be cared for in the Special Care Baby Unit at the Maelor hospital.

The parents, who live on Chester Road, Acton also have five other children - Jessica, 16, Michael, 11, Lewis, 7, Matthew, 6 and Mea, 4.

Other sibling Dean, 18 is away at university.

Paul said: “You get used to having lots of kids in the house because their friends are always round.

“I will be out-voted by women now though!

“Football could be in danger, although it will be a while before the triplets start speaking yet.”

Speaking about the birth Lorraine told the Leader from her bedside that the caesarean went well.

“The staff were lovely and put my mind at ease,” she said.

“I was a bit worried about having a c-section because all my other children have been natural births.

“I’m looking forward to looking after the triplets, I’m sure it will be a challenge.”

The babies, who are not identical but all look similar, are on a feeding tube and in warm cots to maintain their body temperature.

Speaking about finding out she was pregnant Lorraine said: “It was a surprise.
“It was an even bigger surprise when I found out I was having triplets.

“I cried with shock, I was hysterical.”

Dad Paul said that he had a few sleepless nights when he found out about the triplets and is expecting even more now that they have arrived.

But he said he is proud of them and excited about the future.
