TALENTED young welders from across Flintshire took part in a top competition to test their skills.
Students from Deeside College, Coleg Menai and Wirral Met College competed in the live final of Skillweld at Deeside College.
Deeside student Martin Hind and Richard Murgatroyd from Coleg Menai shared first place.
“We were delighted to host the Skillweld regional final and I’d like to congratulate all those who took part,” said Vic Walsh, fabrication and welding lecturer at the college.
“The standard of welding was outstanding and we have our fingers crossed that the winning scores will be good enough to allow Martin and Richard to compete in the UK final.”
