A DESSIDE man died after his car hit a tree on Sealand Road, Flintshire, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Carl Liam Sutton, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, near the Elms Hotel, at about 3.45am.
Police say he was from the Connah's Quay area and was driving a red MG ZR from the Chester direction towards Deeside.
It is the second tragedy to occur on the road in less than a week. Last Monday, 18-year-old Danny Evans, also from Connah's Quay, died when the car he was travelling in overturned just yards from the scene of today's crash.
Any witnesses to either of the crashes or anyone who saw Mr Sutton's car being driven prior to the incident should call North Wales Police on 0845 607 1002.
