THREE students from Glyndwr University have been honoured in a Wales-wide competition to find the most effective way of promoting library use.

Graham Cooper and Natalie Thompson, both 20, along with 21-year-old Sian Salisbury, are all in the second year of a three-year creative lens media course.

They put their new-found skills to use to creating a short film as their entry into the Express Yourself competition, which aims to promote libraries by giving different views of how useful they can be.

The talented trio, who are all from Wrexham, have just heard that their film, entitled Imagine, has made it to the final 15 of more than 1,600 entries from across Wales.

And they have been invited to the award ceremony in Cardiff on February 25, where Gavin and Stacey star and writer Ruth Jones will hand over the prizes.

Graham said: “We are all thrilled about going down to Cardiff and Ruth will present us with either the first, second or third prize for our category.”
