SNOW has been falling over Flintshire today as North Wales braces itself for a cold snap.
The MET Office has released a weather warning indicating widespread icy roads and snow may affect the region tonight and tomorrow.
A spokesman said: "There is a moderate risk of a severe weather event affecting Wales and parts of England this weekend.
"Sleet and snow showers developing overnight Friday into Saturday could persist through much of Saturday and Sunday may bring some accumulations of snow, especially over higher ground, leading to widespread ice on untreated roads."
Drivers are advised to take extra care and refer to Traffic Wales for further advice on disruption on trunk roads.
