A WREXHAM hospice is to launch its first ever fundraising event for men only – but they will have to dress as women if they want to take part.
The sponsored three mile “drag” walk will take place in aid of Nightingale House on Sunday, March 21, starting at Wrexham FC’s Racecourse ground at 11am.
As part of the launch, local police officers dropped by and donned feather boas to show their support.
The event has evolved from the ladies’ midnight walk, which takes place on Saturday, June 26.
Community fundraiser Laura Parry said: “We are very excited about this new event for men only.
“Feedback from the majority of our midnight walkers is that the men in their lives would like an event that they can take part in and raise money too.”
