Leader delivery staff across Flintshire have battled through ice and snow to ensure the region’s top daily newspaper is delivered on time.

Grateful readers have contacted our offices to congratulate delivery staff on turning out in all weathers to make sure people receive their daily paper.

Karina Walker, of Thomas Avenue, Ewloe, said her paper boy Joe had delivered her copy of the paper every day at around 7am, including yesterday.

She said: “He’s come in and he’s delivered it over and over again. He’s always here for 7am.

“When there are so many people not able to get in to work, it is brilliant that he has been able to deliver in all conditions.”

Another reader, who lives in Meadow View, Sealand, but asked to remain anonymous, said: “I believe that all the paper boys and girls should be congratulated.

“We haven’t even had any post, but the paper boys and girls have gone out in all weathers to make sure the Leader is delivered and I think they deserve a mention.”
