TWO road smashes within 40 minutes caused further delays to rush-hour
motorists struggling through the snow this morning (Wednesday, January 13).
Emergency services were called first to Watts Dyke in Llay just before 8am
where a Vauxhall Corsa had been involved in a collision with a Ford
Fiesta.
No-one was injured but the road was completely blocked until 9.20am, which
caused major traffic tailbacks.
Police say road conditions in the area were very poor at the time.
A 8.37am police were called to the A483 between Rossett and Gresford after
a Vauxhall Astra hit the central reservation.
No-one was injured although there was damage to the car and the barrier.
There was further tailbacks until the car was removed.
