TWO men were rescued after a car hit railings in Wrexham and flipped over.

The pair were pulled free from the car which was on its side near the junction of Sandway Road in Acton on Thursday afternoon.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a road accident at Chester Road, Wrexham, where a car had hit railings and overturned at 4.42pm and an ambulance was on scene within three minutes.

“Two men were trapped in the car and we took them to the Maelor hospital with back pains.”
