POLICE are appealing for information after distraction burglars targeted an elderly woman in Flintshire.

A man called at a property on Chester Road, Oakenholt, sometime between noon and 12.30pm on Tuesday, February 16 and claimed to be from ‘the water board’.

He told the woman inside the house that there was a problem with the water supply and asked her to turn on the stop tap.

He then left and said he would come back with a form but failed to return.
