A POST mortem into the deaths of a wealthy Flintshire couple revealed the husband had died of a gun shot wound to the head.
North East Wales Coroner John Hughes opened an inquest into the deaths of Paul and Jean Laithwaite at noon today after they were found dead at their luxury Sealand home on Sunday evening.
Mr Hughes said Mr Laithwaite had died from a gun shot wound to the head while the cause of Mrs Laithwaite's death had been deferred for further tests.
It is understood that toxicology reports are being carried out on Mrs Laithwaite's body.
The inquest was adjourned for a date to be fixed.
